Within the revised Nike lineup, Vomero Plus sits as the softer companion to its Vomero 18 sibling—becoming what Nike determines a 'recovery' shoe.

The Vomero Plus takes max cushioning to new heights with a TPE-based ZoomX midsole with 45mm of stack at the heel tapering to 35mm under the forefoot. All that cushioning doesn't give you a weight penalty, with the Plus coming in a few grams under the Vomero 18.

The engineered upper is constructed from soft, breathable yarn featuring a padded tongue and heel collar which contribute to the comfortable fit. Down below, a high-abrasion rubber outsole ensures durable traction.

This design is part of the Ekiden collection. "Ekiden" (駅伝) is a Japanese word which refers to the unique sport of long-distance relay racing. Ekiden could be roughly translated as ''station to station''. The original meaning of the word is reflected in race rules, where each runner at the end of their run has to pass a sash to the next runner.
